Piyush Mishra

Piyush Mishra is an Indian actor, singer, lyricist, playwright, music composer, and screenwriter known for his contributions to Hindi cinema and theatre. He was born as Priyakant Sharma on January 13, 1963, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He developed an interest in acting, music, and writing at an early age. He graduated from the National School of Drama in New Delhi in 1986 and began his professional career in Hindi theatre. During his years in Delhi, he established himself as a talented actor, director, and playwright. He later moved to Mumbai in 2002 to pursue opportunities in the film industry. Piyush Mishra gained recognition for his performances in Maqbool, Gulaal, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Rockstar. He is also celebrated for songs such as “Aarambh Hai Prachand” and “Ik Bagal.” His distinctive voice, powerful performances, and creative writing have made him a respected personality in Indian entertainment. He is married to Priya Narayanan, and they have two sons.
