Pooja Bhatt is an Indian actress, filmmaker, director and producer who has built a distinctive career in Hindi cinema. Born on 24 February 1972, she is the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt. She began her acting career as a teenager with Daddy in 1989, a performance that brought her early recognition.
She became widely known during the 1990s through films such as Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Sadak, Junoon, Sir, Naaraaz, Chaahat, Border and Zakhm. Her performances helped establish her as one of the prominent actresses of her generation.
Beyond acting, Pooja Bhatt expanded her career into filmmaking and production. She was involved with the production of Tamanna and later made her directorial debut with Paap. Her work behind the camera was followed by films including Holiday, Dhokha, Kajraare and Jism 2. She also returned to acting in Sadak 2.
